Insurance Commissioner Firmly Backs Reforms                                                          by Gerhard Haas                                                          Woodruff-Sawyer staff recently attended a luncheon with California Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner, at which he energetically affirmed his stance on insurance reform. His three areas of concern are: insurance fraud, which costs the State close to $15 billion annually; uninsured drivers, who add 10% to 15% to every insured driver's premium; and the condition of the State Compensation Insurance Fund.
